The difference between liquid pressure and air pressure

Image
Liquid Pressure  Liquid pressure increases when the depth increases and it is deeper. So the deeper yo go in liquid the greater the pressure (Figure 1). The pressure is greater at the bottom due to the weight of water pushing down from above. Figure 1 The pressure pushes in all directions as shown in Figure 2. Figure 2 Air Pressure Air pressure is the weight of air pressing down on air. The air that we live in is called the atmosphere and the pressure on us is called atmospheric pressure (figure 3)  Figure 3 There is less air in higher altitude, while there is more air in lower altitude as shown in figure 4. Figure 4 In conclusion, you can find the below figure (Figure 5) explaining some of the differences between air and liquid pressure. Figure 5 To read more about the differences, check the below links: Atmospheric Pressure Pressure in liquids Please let me know if you'd like any more explanation regarding the difference between air and liquid pressure.
